FAQs

  • This program is part of a government-funded program and rules and regulations apply. This doesn't mean the program is entirely funded through the government or tax revenue. We need sponsors and volunteers to help make this program a success.

  • All meals must be eaten on site. No food is to be taken off site.

  • Any child or teen 18 years and younger eat free lunch regardless of financial status, school district, or residence

  • Anyone 19 and older may eat. Charge is $4 per meal.

  • Each meal must include at least three of the options offered. 

  • A kitchen staff member will be present at all times.

  • This program will be provided rain or shine, to the best of our ability. We will be closed July 4th and 5th for Independence Day. We will be closed August 6th for staff training. If we are closed due to severe weather, every effort will be made to get that information out as soon as possible.

  • Our plan is to start this program June 10th and run until August 15th. Since this is our first year, nothing is definite. If this program cannot support itself, we may need to scratch the program altogether. I sincerely hope this doesn't happen.

  • Our menu is posted on this website. We plan to serve light, easy lunches that kids enjoy, such as hamburgers and hotdogs to name a few. There will be alternative choices to the main menu. This may vary, based on availability.

  • Seconds are not allowed with this program, government regulation. We can lose our funding if we do not follow the rules.

​

  • We are currently exploring transportation options. If you have a need for transportation, please let me know. Difficult to know participation numbers at the present time. 

​

  • We ask anyone who plans to be present in and around the shelter house during the hours of 11-2 to please be respectful to the property and others. No bullying or harassment will be tolerated.
