The summer lunch program has come and gone. We had a huge success for our first year. We served over 2200 people from June 10th through the first week of August. I wanted to make sure I had all the data before sending updates and thank you notes to everyone. Our final numbers came through mid October and I have diligently working on thank you notes and hope to have them finished by the end of this month. Every one of you have played an important part in this program. The staff who helped make and transport the lunches every day to the volunteers who helped set up, serve and clean up, as well as those who donated monetary gifts. I especially want to thank any one and every one who participated in this program. We learned a few things this year and hope to make next year even better. I have the numbers and documentation to present to our next director to support continuing this program. Our current director will be retiring at the end of the school year 2020. We will not know of her replacement until sometime next year. My hope is that our new director will wish to continue this program for our community. See you around!

Hard to believe we have been serving lunch for 7 weeks. Despite a few missed days due to severe weather, excessive heat and staff training, we have served over 2000 people since June 10th! We have about 3 weeks left of the summer lunch program. I am comprising data to help support my recommendation that this program continue next year.

Did you see us in the Parade? Last minute decision to enter into the parade and pass out flyers to help get the word out about our Summer Lunch Program.
